Josette,
Hmmm...July, huh?
Ok, I'm going to settle on a tentative date and get the plans in motion!

This has me enthralled. There's dirty things afoot in that parking garage ...

Re: DC poetry slam -- I should be in the District in July and early August. If you hold it then, I will be there!

Thanks, Thom.
I really enjoyed writing this one. It was the first poem I wrote in
about 4 months.
Putting myself in that sweet spot of creativity was something I sorely missed.

I picked up the title trick from Ted Kooser's book. You can set the
scene for the poem before the reader even starts the first line. You
don't have to try to write the scene into what you really want the
poem to be about.

Thanks for being such a big encouragement with your words and your
podcast. Still subscribed!

Will,

Great kickoff. The poem is so intense the first time i read it I thought he had killed someone, or was going to kill himself. After a couple of readings, I thought he might have just dinged a mirror. I love the intensity of the whole thing. And the locating in the title is awesome.

Here's to a great month.

Hey Chris,
Yes, that is definitely on my list of things to do. Things are kind of busy now, but I'm shooting for this summer.
