( Day#6)

I have been thinking about you
I know we should be together
But not like this

Shhhh

Not like this

You are gorgeous when you sleep
An angel on hiatus
Resting wings on earthly bed

I want to take you from here
From these that do not love you
To my home where love runs pure

Shhh

Do not wake

Your hair so long and brown
Sparkled with angel-dust
Remnant from answered prayers

I will take you with care
Lift you in arms gentle
Through window we depart

Shhh

Do not fear

Your eyes dance beneath
Lightly veined eyelids
You must be dreaming

Of me

You and I in a dance for ever
Laughing and loving and living
They mock and wish that they were me

While they wish they had you
But you are mine my angel
You are mine forever

Shhh

I love you

Ok, so this one is notably dark and creepy. Sorry.
Those of you who have read are heard my works on older Cloudy Day Art episodes know all about that. It just comes out sometimes! ;-)
There was a strong debate within me to post this, but it is what it is.
I’m not trying to glorify anything. It’s just creative writing.

  1. Best line: An angel on hiatus

No need to qualify the poem. We are sometimes soothsayers, but always truth-sayers. Let the caveats be for those who are not writing. An in debates, always let the poet win.
