(NaPoWriMo Day #15)

We would hunt for crayfish
In the slightly rocky waters
Of Onondaga creek

It was a slight detour
On the two mile walk
Home from middle school

Backpacks found rest
On the hill descending
Down under the bridge

As cars drove overhead
Overlooking the peace below
Where nature spoke our names

  1. You grew up in New York? So did I… in the Hudson Valley… I knew I liked you for a reason Will.

  2. Yup, Syracuse, New York is my hometown!
I need to get back more often. It’s been over a year.
